A two-story building all of which are made of concrete with a hexagonal shape as the name implies was built in a patio lined with five storehouses. The first floor is a playground for adults surrounded by huge bookshelves and amplifiers/speakers. It is a space that shakes the five senses of those who visit. The time passes leisurely with the sound of the crackling flames. The collection of books on the shelves consists of 2,000 volumes, some of which are rare and valuable. During your stay, you can freely use, select and read as much as you like. We hope Rokkakudo is your favorite place for quiet contemplation in a tranquil space.
The atrium structure makes the space feel roomy. It could be used for multiple purposes and if you use it together with the hall on the 1st floor, you can further elaborate the space as an exhibition space.
The room is equipped with rail type display tools and lighting, so if you bring in your own works, you can hold a solo exhibition. The artist could be you.
Looking over the north from the rooftop, you can see a panoramic view of the mountain range from Ashio to Nikko. You can find the large Mt.Kesamaru soon, and in the depth, there is Mt,Sukai as the famous One Hundred popular Japanese Mountain (Nihon hyaku-meizan), besides, it is with the peaks of the 2578m high Mt.Nikko shirane continue on to the Oze Mountains.
