Preserving an Old Merchant House in Omama, a Town of Storehouses

kurart ARAU is a coinage that combines kura and art.
A kura is a traditional Japanese architectural style of storehouse made of wood frame, clay walls, and plaster to protect their own property.
ARAU Shouten, established in the Edo era, is in Omama-cho, Midori-shi, Gunma Prefecture,
The storehouses were built between the Meiji and Showa eras. These are still going and standing.
